Board Appointment: Code Enforcement

Appointments to fill vacancies due to expiration of terms and resignations.

CONSENT AGENDA

Any member of the public can ask the City Commission to pull a consent item for separate discussion and vote that they would like to make comment on.

Purchase Authorization-Fields Equipment Company/Deere & Company

 The City Commission will consider authorizing staff to expend funds for the purchase of two (2) John Deere diesel mowers.
7.II.

Special Event Permit: Hops Shop & Stroll, March 27, 2020

This is a request by Main Street to have a wine walk event called Hops, Shop & Stroll on Friday, March 27, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. The event will include alcohol served in the marketplace from 9:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.

9.I.

Ordinance D2020-01 – Text amendment to the Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan

The amendment is to create a Mixed-Use policy to accommodate unified mixed use development on large pieces of property.


9.II.

Ordinance 2020-06 Zoning Amendment – Chapter 23 Zoning, Land Use and Development Section 23-358 Mobile Food Vending/Mobile Food Dispensing Vehicles

This amendment establishes rules and regulations for mobile food vending in the City of Lake Wales.


9.III.

Purchase of the Park Water Company

The City Manager seeks approval to enter into negotiations for the purchase of the Park Water Company.


9.IV.

Evaluation of City Attorney

Commissioners will discuss the performance evaluation of the City Attorney and the potential to go out for an RFP.

City Manager Performance Evaluation

Performance evaluation forms were completed by the City Commissioners and returned to staff as requested. Evaluation forms completed by the Commissioners are available for review in the Human Resources Department.

Sixth Amendment of the City Manager’s Contract

The City Manager’s annual review date allows for the renewal and modification of his contract, in addition to providing for an annual increase and/or bonus. The City Manager is requesting that there be no change in salary or bonus; that he be provided the option of purchasing his past Lake Wales and other Florida local government service time at no cost to the City if that is approved in accordance with the rules of the Lake Wales General Employee Pension Fund.
