Anyone wishing to speak should give their name, state if they are a resident, taxpayer, business owner, or utility customer and they will have 5 minutes. Utility customers should only speak on matters concerning those utilities.

Canvassing Board appointments

It is necessary for the Commission to appoint alternate members to serve on the City of Lake Wales Canvassing Board.

Rescheduling first City Commission Meeting in April

It is necessary for the City Commission to reschedule its first meeting in April due to the April 6, 2021 Municipal Election

OLD BUSINESS

9.I.

ORDINANCE D2020-04 Comprehensive Plan Adoption 2nd Reading and Public Hearing.

At least every seven years, local governments must determine whether or not amendments are needed to the Comprehensive Plan. The current plan had a horizon of 2015 and was critically out of date. The proposed updated plan will have a horizon of 2040.

RESOLUTION 2021-04 Railroad Crossing Safety Program Upgrade

Resolution 2021-04, Railroad Reimbursement Agreement Grade Crossing Traffic Control Devices with the Florida Department of Transportation and Florida Midland Railroad.

Resolution 2021-05 State of Emergency Declaration

Resolution 2021-05 declares a State of Emergency for Lake Wales in response to concerns related to COVID-19. This will be in effect from March 2, 2021 until April 2, 2021.

Minutes of the City Commission meeting can be obtained from the City Clerk's Office. The minutes are recorded, but are not transcribed verbatim.
