All who attend will receive training and key information from One More Child’s Anti-trafficking director Marianne Thomas and subject matter expert Kadian Parchment. There will be multiple agencies present you can access to learn about all of the current programs available to the community to guard against issues linked with human trafficking. You will leave with key information on how to identify and respond to human trafficking as well as get equipped with networking connections you can use to keep yourself, your family, and your community safe.

Both Events are being held at Lake Wales First Baptist Church 338 East Central Ave. Lake Wales, FL 33853.

This program is designed for: parents, educators community & church leaders, caring neighbors, first responders and concerned citizens

Event Coordinators include: Lake Wales Care Center, Local Pastors, Lake Wales Police Department, Lake Wales Fire Department, and One More Child.

Florida had the third-highest rate of human trafficking cases reported across the country in 2019. According to the Human Trafficking Hotline, 896 cases were reported. Last year's 896 reports of human trafficking led to the identification of more than 600 trafficking businesses.  Miami and Orlando are ranked in the top 5 highest human trafficking cities in the United States.  We live in difficult times so it is imperative to know that you are not alone and gain all of the tools needed to stand against threats like human trafficking.  It is imperative that we work together to stand against this major issue.
