Finance Department

Responsibilities
The Finance Department is responsible for processing, recording, and reporting the city's financial activities. The Finance Department is responsible for ensuring that purchases and expenditures are in accordance with budgetary accountability.

Finance Director
The Finance Director is responsible for
  • Maintaining financial records based on standards prescribed by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB)
  • Preparing financial statements in conformity with general accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Overseeing the financial operations of the city including accounting, cash management, budget support, payroll, accounts payable, business licensing, financial reporting, and utility billing and customer service
