In celebration of Preservation Week the Lake Wales Public Library will host our Basic Book Repair Class. The class begins at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 23 in the library’s Schoenoff Meeting Room.
The 90-minute class will include an overview of the parts of a book, the difference between preservation, restoration and conservation. Participants will learn how to properly repair torn pages and broken spines. They will understand the tools needed to repair a book correctly.
This class is free, is but limited to 10 people. Registration is required. Registered participants should bring one personal example of a book in need of repair.
