Purpose of Competition:
To determine the new members of the United States Parachute Team to compete at the World Championships of Skydiving at Skydive Chicago in September 2016. Competitors will consist of skydivers from all over the United States, US Military Teams and Visitors from other countries. Judging and Awards will be on site. Members of the US Parachute Team will be announced on June 2, 2016 at the Florida Skydive Center.
The Florida Skydive Center has hosted over a dozen skydive competitions, and holds the World Record for the Largest Canopy Formation in the world.

Competition Descriptions:
Style and Accuracy: Team compete in freefall and under canopy. In freefall, “style sets” of predetermined maneuvers are filmed from the ground to be scored. Under canopy, competitors must land as close as possible to a target the size of a dime. This is the largest discipline in skydiving, with over 1100 competitors at the last World Championships.
Canopy Formation: Teams have 2 minutes to build as many formations with their parachutes. A draw is made at the beginning of the competition to decide the sequence of formations. Four different classes of canopy formation will
Sport Accuracy: Each competitor must safely land as close as possible to their target with their sport parachute.
