Congratulations to Lester Gulledge, Horticulturist

City Administration Posted on January 06, 2022

The City of Lake Wales congratulates Lester Gulledge, Horticulturist, for achieving a Florida Limited Lawn & Ornamental License.

“It’s good for our city to have an Integrated Pest Management Program. The license gives me the authority to prevent and protect the city’s trees and plants from disease and pest infestations,” said Gulledge.

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services regulates government agencies that apply pesticide applications to public areas.

“Lester’s experience in horticulture is going to help us maintain and grow a healthy and beautiful setting in our Historic Downtown District and across the City,” said Assistant to the City Manager, Michael Manning.
