Lake Wales was beautified today as part of Warner Cares Day 2022

City Administration Posted on April 06, 2022

Lake Wales was beautified today as part of Warner Cares Day 2022. Students, faculty and staff at Warner University and members of the Lake Wales Care Center provided community services to many organizations.

Select areas of the city were impacted by the event. The Northwest Sports Complex – Frasier Field received some attention. Students prepped the basketball courts to be pressure washed, and most of the leaves surrounding the playground were removed. Students got brave and tackled the library with cleaning supplies. Bookshelves, ceiling fans, light fixtures and table tops shine like new. Portions of Stuart Avenue were prepared for new landscaping. Students relocated old plants and raked select garden beds clean.

City of Lake Wales staff appreciates everyone who participated in today’s event.
