Public notice: The removal of select trees without a permit will result in a fine

Public notice: The removal of select trees without a permit within the city limits of Lake Wales will result in a fine, ranging from $250 to $2,500. There is no fee associated for this type of permit. To request a permit application, please call (863) 676-5112 ext. 251, or email srowland@lakewalesfl.gov. Many cities actively manage their urban trees in an effort to increase canopy coverage throughout the city. The tree permit process exists to protect the community’s urban canopy.
