Dump Your Junk, Operation Clean Sweep

City Administration Posted on March 09, 2023

Toss appliances, furniture and construction materials at the Dump Your Junk event on Saturday, April 1 between 8 a.m. to noon. Bring your stuff to one of two dumpster locations. Appliances must be drained of freon or other hazardous chemicals and gasses. The event is free and will be facilitated by onsite staff.

Large dumpsters will be at two locations: James P. Austin Community Center on MLK Blvd. and City’s CSX building located at the corner of Seminole Avenue and Scenic Highway.

Prohibited items include.

- Tires
- Yard debris
- Hazardous waste, such as liquids, chemicals, paints and batteries
- Industrial waste
- Infectious waste
- Food waste
