2024 April 2 Election Results

The City of Lake Wales had a 25% turnout which is an improvement over the 17% turnout in 2023. In the Seat 4 race Carol Gillespie won with 57% of the vote. Incumbent Commissioner Danny Krueger received 43% of the vote. In the Seat 2 race Incumbent Commissioner Daniel Williams is in the lead with 42.22% of the vote, Brandon Alvarado received 42.18% of the vote, and Crystal Higbee received 16% of the vote. As the Canvassing board reviews the results at its next meeting on Thursday afternoon a recount may be required if the result is ½ of 1%.
