On Monday, February 26, 2024 at 12:00pm, the City of Lake Wales will host a public information meeting at the City Administration Building in the City Commission Chambers for the sole purpose of discussing the grant application to the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection Recreation Trails Program. The grant application is for $282,380 and will be used towards a new trail at Kiwanis Park along Tower Boulevard. There will be a match of $70,595 from the City. This public information meeting will present the details of the grant application and staff will answer any concerns the public might have.
