Lake Wales Police Department K-9 Officers

Earlier this week, K-9 officers from the Lake Wales Police Department introduced their new K-9 officers, Bane and Bolo. The K-9s are both German Shepherd Belgian Malinois mix and were both born in Budapest, Hungary on February 7, 2021.  Both K-9 teams were trained in obedience, apprehension, tracking and narcotics detection. Lake Wales Police Chief Chris Velasquez stated both teams are certified in all areas last month and are now on patrol.

It is the goal of the City of Lake Wales to ensure that the services we provide are as accessible for individuals with disabilities as they are for individuals without disabilities.
