The Lake Wales Mardi Gras Committee recently hosted a check presentation event at Wales Pointe Restaurant. The funds were raised during the recent Mardi Gras celebration in February. The Committee gave contributions to the Lake Wales Fire Department and the Lake Wales Police Department’s Shop with a Cop program.
Other organizations receiving awards include the Lake Wales Little Theater, Victory Ridge Academy, Lake Wales Family Literacy Academy, Refuge on the Ridge, Lake Wales Little League, Lake Wales Soccer Club, Lake Wales High School Band Boosters and the Lake Wales Charter Schools.
The next Lake Wales Mardi Gras Festival is February 9 -10, 2024.
