Residential Container Placement

City Administration Posted on June 26, 2023

Don't be left out. Republic Services' trucks use mechanical arms to pick up the waste and recycling containers. Residents should follow these guidelines to ensure garbage is collected by Republic Services' automated collection trucks.

Residents are encouraged to have the containers at the curb by 6am on the designated collection day. Containers must be placed at least five feet from any object or car, having the same distance between waste and recycling containers.

Containers should be placed one foot from the curb or edge of the street. Arrows on the lid of the containers should be facing toward the street and the handles face away from the street.

Please don't allow children to play in or around the containers on your collection day.
