Every 'Litter' Bit Hurts

City Administration Posted on July 27, 2023

Every LITTER bit hurts our environment. Let's do our part Lake Wales!  Please discard trash in garbage or recycling bins. It’s the right thing to do. The most commonly-littered items include: cigarette butts, fast food packaging, alcoholic beverage containers, plastic bags and bottles. Littering makes our environment look less favorable, and it can endanger or kill wildlife, damage waterways and increase the risk of fires. Litter can also attract bacteria and spread disease directly or indirectly. Let’s unite and keep Lake Wales beautiful.

It is the goal of the City of Lake Wales to ensure that the services we provide are as accessible for individuals with disabilities as they are for individuals without disabilities.
